In December 1987, Uriah Heep flew into sub-zero Moscow to become the first Western rock band to play in the Soviet Union — simultaneously marking a unique chapter in the band's 18-year career and opening a whole new chapter in the history of rock. Over ten consecutive nights they played sell-out shows at Moscow's Olimpijski Stadium, with a total audience of 180,000.
This live double album captures that extraordinary moment. Recorded at the Olimpijski Stadium, USSR, between 7 and 16 December 1987, mixed at PRT Studios, London. The Soviet pressing features the iconic red sleeve with Cyrillic subtitle Сам в Москве and includes an inner sleeve with full lyrics and concert photography.
